Sept 4 2003 : i must say all of these things i have been reading on your site about mark tildsley and tom smith are amusing but if anyone really new the amount of work they do i think you all would change your mind. ie; the biggest rci points vendor in europe and the best. they run a fair company and sell their products at a fair price, compaired to others i won't mention.
i can't understand why all of you owners whinge when you would have spent thousands of pounds on a crap 3* holiday, this way your money is well spent on 5* quality holidays. if no owners use their timeshare then more fool them, using it will get you your monies worth. its not a matter of arse liking im just fed up with reading about people who have vendettas against salespeople, in all the time i've sold timeshare i have never once lied about the product its the thick people who don't listen to what you tell them, they then go home and forget everything about what they bought and what you tell them and how to use it. IDIOTS

Sept 3 2003 See Primeshare - now owned by the super salesmen from Startford

Sept 3 2003 We have also been ripped off by Windrush Marketing
with the hard sell and promise of a five star barge with a four poster bed, 2 T.Vs,C.D.player,D.V.D.and other extras all for 10K for one week high season. After a visit to Stratford Court Cruisers our allocated barge turned out to be one of the oldest barges they own and only a 2 star rating, with none of the extras as agreed. The same deal could have taken place direct with S.C.C.at the marina for £3.500.What a rip off!
The matter is already the subject of a legal action - Burns

Aug 20 2003 cid. Please, please tell me more of Jeff Warren and Windrush Marketing. I am currently compiling evidence for my day in court and need all the help I can get, tho' hopefully my Legal Costs insurance will be supporting me.Time is running out tho' as the info must go forward in next few days, help me nail this bunch! Sue

Aug 19 2003 Having told lies on behalf of his pal Mark for a great many years, Jeff Warren is finding the heat coming on his Windrush Marketing so he’s set up another company to continue the scams. Elysaura Marketing is it’s name and it’s fronted by a Lisa Clements who lives with a Stuart Warren. Now there’s a coincidence!

Aug 19 2003 Terry you can mail me - Sue

Aug 18 2003 Terry, stratford court cruisers. We are going to court(apparently) We seem to have the backing of our household insurers with whom we took out a legal costs insurance policy. We've been advised however that when our company realize we are not afraid of court action-we owe them money- they will offer to settle out of court we just hope our legal advisers don't take that soft option. We'd love to see them sweat it out for a change, but my guess is they wouldn't turn up at court. Will keep you advised . sue.

Aug 9 2003 Terry, you were told a pack of lies to get your signature on the purchase agreement. Tell the court all theses lies and counterclaim for all your money back – it does work.
Winner.

Aug 8 2003 I’ve just found this site and what a welcome find it is. Like Sue we were conned into a timeshare with Stratford Court Cruisers and we are also being taken to court as well. Have you learned anything Sue? Have you had your day in court yet? I would be very happy to exchange information with you though we are as yet at the start of our researches. I can’t believe that they would actually want to hear what I have to say in open court but you never can tell. It is my belief that they count on intimidation to make you pay up the whole amount or, second best, make you cough up a few thousand to settle out of court.- Thanks Terry.

Hallo Warden, to answer your questions RCI, Primeshare and Points World are all seperate trading and Century 21 is now called Points World Resales as RCI didnt like the Century 21 connection in the UK with their US companies. Tildesley and Smith are still partners. I'm don't live in Scotland. I am at Points World in Stratord on the same number I've been on for ten years 01789 415671 call me anytime for information. Our companies have not merged with RCI and we don't con anyone. Thanks for the mention though on this truely entertaining site.
Best Regards
Tillo

Can anyone help with the relationship between RCI,Primeshare and Points World to say nothing of Century 21 and the dubious partners Tildsley and Smith.  Are they still all trading separately. Would appreciate any help or advice. Also where is Mark Tildsley (Tillo) based in Scotland thought he was with Points World - Have all three companies Merged to form one big con firm.

Repossessions are a fact of life in timeshare (as they are in many other walks of life)
Every resort loses a few owners every year because they can’t afford to pay the management fees -  even the best run resorts can lose up to 0.5% of their membership every year for no fault of the resort.
But when a resort loses 1% of its membership every year, warning bells should be sounding - perhaps owners aren’t paying because they think there is something wrong with the resort.
So, Stratford Court (and Cruisers), with a repossession rate close on 5% must be really worried.
Do they know something we don’t?

Choices, Stratford Court and Stratford Court Cruisers are in the financial sh*t.
The two Stratford Courts companies  have failed to publish their accounts in time (because they are too embarrassing – “a difficult year”  claim the Directors!!)  and Choices (planned as the rescue operation) is itself  in dire financial straights. The sooner somebody puts Tom Smith and Mark Tidlesley  out of their misery with a bankruptcy order (or a bullet) the better off will be the timeshare industry.
Yet another example of a crooked industry struggling to survive

The guys who run Choices and Stratford Court Cruisers are crooks.
I’ll tell you.
I bought a Red week in Stratford Court Cruisers for £7K last year.  I didn’t get any cooling-off period and felt stuck with the purchase.  When I   asked a resale broker for a valuation, he said £1K, top whack.  It would have been cheaper to have walked away  losing my deposit.
Then I got a letter from  SCC saying that they wanted more money from me – to do with moving the boats – but would I go to a meeting.
At that meeting I was told that the RCI exchange system was going to finish, but they had the perfect solution – pay them another £1,400 to join Choices Holiday Club. Even after 3 hours, I wasn’t clear what the benefits of doing this, probably nil. So I gave it a miss.
After the meeting I met up with another owner in the local  who had signed up for Choices and paid a deposit – don’t these guys know there’s a law out there – only to get out of the place.
Someone ought to get this lot locked up – they break the law; they tell outrageous lies and they’re still at it. Crooks.

Sept 11
Timeshare Direct Group did not renew its membership to the OTE because we could not justify the £6000 it would cost.
TDG have also never charged a registration fee and in our opinion no Resale companies should as nearly 60% of the resale members of the OTE do we felt being part of this organisation does not sit well with our position on fees.
Thanks for the question
Mark Tildesley,  Managing Director - Timeshare Direct Group

Timeshare Direct, the resale arm of Stratford Court etc. has disappeared from the OTE members list. Pushed or jumped?

I am trying to reclaim some monies from 21st Century Vacations Ltd of Cromer. They offered to convert our holiday time to their points system.  We have failed to agree an arrangement and they are now being difficult regarding paying back our money.

Do you have any information regarding this company, their practises or financial affairs.

I would be most grateful for any correspondence regarding this company as I fear they the type of Company that contributes to the poor reputation that Timeshare does not deserve !!

"Mark Tildesley waiting to enrole a new Choices Holidays member"      Rex

Feb 25
So the Sheffield Fogg has engulfed Cromer Country Club
Where does this leave:

Club Brittania (and its soon-to-be announced cousin)
 Stratford Court
 Stratford Court Cruisers
 Choices Holidays
 Mark Tildesley  - whistling, perhaps!
And, more importantly, will East coast punters be treated to the same extraordinarily excessive  prices with which  Fred has been screwing  West coast punters for the last four years ?
Come on,  Fred, tell us how you do it?.
Rex.

Are Ian Goddard [see UVC – Ed] and Fred Fogg working as a team ?
Goddard doing the softening up and then Fogg steps in to picks up the pieces – for a song!
Looks like good teamwork to me.
Although getting a reliable response from Goddard now seems doubtful

Tom Smith the owner of Cromer has sold out to Fred Fogg at Thurnham Hall, does this mean the end of Tom in Timeshare, surely not and what happens to Choices Holiday Club?
Goodbye and Good Luck xxxx SL

Who is Choices kidding ?
Their glossy new brochure lists the resorts that lucky Choices members can chose from. Cromer Country Club, Stratford Court and Cruisers, of course (who owns Choices?) but also 20 other resorts (including Edinburgh Residece – [sic]).  But with only one week in most of these other resorts  the Choices is pretty limited.
Is this the “running nicely” bit promised by Tom and Mark ?

My husband and I attended a choices presentation in Stratford, we own at Stratford Court, and the presentation was a complete waste of time. The salesmen couldn't answer half the questions people were asking and most owners had left long before the end of the meeting. We are still not sure what choices is about, how much it costs and any benefits of it.

Mark Tildsly's choices has all gone Pete Tong as his business partner Tom Smith is taking him to court to get out of their contract.
Poor old Mark, can't get anything right. Oh well he should stick to agreements he makes. What about the "points based club Mark created to help his inherited owners get what they purchased"?
Purhaps we can get an answer from the man himself?

I see that one a couple of your readers want too know the link between Myself (TILLO-AMAZON) and Tom Smith (TAS3-Lexus).
Very simple, Cromer, Stratford Court and Cruisers have formed a new Holiday Club, Choices, it is a points based club created to help our inherited UVC owners a chance to get what they purchased.
It is based on inventory we own...launch date Late Sept 99.  Soon to be on the web
Thanks Mark -  Ed.
